Over at The Daily Beast, I have a new piece on volunteer tourism, or voluntourism (“The Hidden Dangers of Volunteer Tourism“). Volunteer tourism is a way to see the world while doing good, but it also comes with potential unexpected consequences, meaning doing good can sometimes inadvertently do harm. Check it out:
