Our author copies of Rescue and Redeem (HL 5) arrived in the mail today!  It is strange to think that the History Lives series is now complete.  Mindy and I have lived with this 5-volume YA project for 7 years now.  (That is longer than most marriages.)  Every year has been full of planning, living in libraries, researching, writing from morning til midnight, and begging for an extension to our deadline.  When deep in writing, she and I conversed mostly by email, even though at times we were just across the table from each other at Starbucks, Panera, or The Flying Bean!  We went wherever there was Wi-Fi and spent most of our royalties on the coffee that kept us going. 

The writing of this series spans 3 states and 3 schools.  It is an incredible feeling to have finished it.  I hope you enjoy the 5th volume as much as the others.  This year I’m looking forward to new writing projects and what might be in our writing futures.  We both would like to write together again, and we’d both like to branch out into new areas. Remember, Rescue and Redeem is available for pre-order in the U.S. at Amazon and is due out March 15.  

Now I have to go read the book so I can remember all the stuff we put in there!
